New word alert: Glamping. Our sources tell us it’s short for ‘glamour campsites,’ and if it means not having to wipe our butts with poison sumac leaves, we’re interested. These funky-shaped tents were designed by ArchiWorkshop for a remote campsite in Yang-Pyeong, South Korea, and they look 5x more pleasant than some of the lofts we’ve rented.
Made from an engineered fabric membrane that keeps out UV rays, water, and fire, each double-layered tent features custom sofa beds and toilets that are partitioned off by walls featuring works by a Korean artist. The overall result is a well-lit, stylish, functional tent that will keep you clean and comfy after the last ghost story has been read.
