The official teaser trailer has been released for the big screen version of Charles M. Schulz‘s comic strip Peanuts. “It’s long overdue,” said Charles Schulz’s son Craig Schulz when speaking to USA Today. The fans have been asking for a long time, but we held off until the time was right. The film will be a slickly animated take on the cartoon and will feature Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the crew. Although it’s going to be 3D, the producers are promising it won’t be too cringe. “Snoopy will not be rapping, no one will be twerking, we’re in good hands.” They are going to mix the plot up a bit, however, adapting it for a modern audience. “We’re going to fly with Snoopy in his fantasy world,” director Steve Martino said. “We have a bigger canvas. Bill Melendez got Snoopy off the ground in the TV specials. We’re going to take it a step further.” Release is due for 6 November, 2015.
